Orders materials and supplies. Works closely with Operations Manager to accomplish needed projects.You should have your own hand tools, a valid California driver's license, excellent computer skills. Occasional lifting of 40 pounds.
2 Assistant R + D Chemist (2)Bachelor degree in Food Science, Chemistry or related science discipline. Less than one year of experience in food or beverage product development or new graduate OK. Excellent written and verbal English skills, computer skills. You should have good sensory taste perception and experience with standard lab tests and equipment.Two positions at our juice plant in Pacoima will work under the supervision of more experienced chemists to learn to analyze, develop and improve new and existing products untilizing juice concentrates, flavors and other ingredients, based upon defined customer or in-house requirements. You will begin to calculate costing on products developed. Will work closely with Quality Control Department and assist in compounding customer samples. This is a first step in your career in product development for the food or beverage industry. Local candidates; no relocation provided.
3 Junior Account ExecutiveBS or BA Degree in Business or Science. Up to 3 years of experience in account management with a focus on business development. Strategic, disciplined thinker. Knowledge of food and beverage industry is a plus. You should be familiar with the process of project development and relationship building within different types of company structures. You must have excellent written and spoken English.Handles direct sales to key accounts; sets, attains and forecasts sales goals. Uses computer skills to tract results and produce reports as needed. Some overnight travel (25%); may increase over time. The position works out of the Sales Department in Pacoima, CA. Requires a passionate interest in food!!!! Based out of Pacoima facility.
4 Maintenance Supervisor4 - 6 years in industrial maintenance with some supervision experience, with expertise in one of the crafts (electrical preferred). Clean DMV record; experience with computerized maintenance systems. You should have or be able to obtain your LA City Steam Operator License within 6 months of hire. Supervises and assists the maintenance crew (staff of 6) in performance of maintenance on all buildings, structures and production equipment. The supervisor is the main database administrator for the CAMS progrram to track and update maintenance tasks. Requires leadership skills.Skilled working knowledge of maintenance crafts + trades. Hourly position. Day shift. Job is located at Pacoima facility.
5 Production PlannerSome post high school education. Computer proficient (Word + Excel). At least 2 years prior experience in food plant desirable. Must be familiar with production and inventory procedures; good math skills. Responsible for production scheduling and coordination, including necessary communication and required reports. Converts orders into weekly production schedules; converts orders into raw material and finishing supply needs. Matches needs against availability. Initiates order for and maintains inventory of ingredients and supplies. Located at Mutual Flavors in East Los Angeles.
