Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in ways that foster good relationships with co-workers and supervisors, while achieving performance standards.This position is located in East Los Angeles, CA. Local Southern California candidates only.
Maintenance Mechanic BRequires skilled working knowledge of all maintenance crafts and trades, with expertise in at least one. Experience with PLC's, pneumatic and electric pumps, plumbing, welding, refrigeration and/or air conditioning, VFD programming. Must be able to operate a forklift. Food industry experience is a plus. Candidates must have current, valid driver license.The position maintains all buildings, structures and production equipment in top working order, contributing as part of a team. The position trains others in order to increase the overall knowledge base of the department. Trades with expertise in at least one. Experienced with PLCs, pneumatic and electric pumps, all kinds of plumbing; some welding, refrigeration and/or air conditioning, VFD programming. Will use forklift. Food industry experience is a plus.This position is located in Pacoima, CA
2nd shift SupervisorBackground in production, familiar with production lines and processing machinery.
Must possess basic supervision skills.
Knowledge of safety, sanitation, HACCP and GMP standards and procedures.
Good written and oral English communication skills, basic computer skills.
Able to speak and understand basic Spanish.
Proficient with math conversions using calculator, familiar with metric system, weights and measures.
The position is responsible for all work done on the second shift. Requires knowledge of basic supervision and the ability to solve problems and work unsupervised. The position is a “working” position and may require participation in various production, filling and sanitation tasks. Must follow and enforce GMP and safety guidelines and procedures throughout the shift. Responsible for contributing to the efficient, profitable operation of the plant. Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating so as to get along with clients, customers, co-workers and supervisors, while achieving performance standards. This position is located in East Los Angeles, CA. Local Southern California candidates only.
CompounderBackground in production, familiar with production lines and processing machinery.

This position works in conjunction with supervisor and/or manager to perform the activities of the department, including timely completion of product batches in accordance with GMP, HACCP and safety guidelines, working in cooperation with all other departments, promoting information exchange and teamwork within the department. The Compounder is responsible for the accuracy of batch formulation and compliance with company policy, GMP and HACCP guidelines and safety procedures. The Compounder must contribute to the efficient and profitable operation of the plant and maintain a positive work atmosphere, by behaving and communicating in ways that foster good relationships with co-workers and managers, while achieving performance standards.This position is located in Los Angeles, CA
Production PlannerMust be familiar with production and inventory procedures. Good at mathematical calculations. Good English communication skills. Proficient with computer software programs.Plans and prepares production schedules for manufacture of products. Responsible for contributing to the efficient and profitable operation of the plant. QC ManagerB.A. or B.S. degree in a science discipline. Familiarity with general lab analytical equipment and its use in testing food samples. Three to five years of experience in a supervisory capacity in the food industry, with a background in fruit and flavor processing a plus. HACCP certified or ability to achieve this certification rapidly. SQF Practitioner certified or ability to achieve this certification rapidly.Manages the testing of raw materials, in-process and finished products, to ensure compliance with company, customer and regulatory agency requirements. Inspects the plant and grounds and audits the production process for GMP compliance. Provides necessary documentation for all controls and procedures; assists with preparation of technical documents for raw materials and finished products. The position functions as a SQF Practitioner and plant HACCP Coordinator. Responsible for contributing to the efficient and profitable operation of the plant. This position is located in Los Angeles, CA
Facilities EngineerBS Degree in an Engineering discipline and five years of industry experience. Proficient with MS Office and various CAD programs. Knowledge of engineering principles and practices as well as knowledge of standards, codes and regulations. Knowledge of modern material, methods, design and construction techniques, as well as equipment, tools and investigation techniques. Ability to create engineering designs, read and interpret construction blueprints and plans; ability to analyze costs of construction projects.Acts in an advisory role to AFF personnel in regards to engineering projects when it is determined that engineering is required. Responsible for carrying out major assignments engineering related projects, facilities and equipment. Must have a thorough knowledge of facilities and equipment requirements, applicable building and safety regulations, with the ability to apply this knowledge. Must provide technical engineering guidance and assistance to AFF employees who request engineering input.This position is located in Pacoima, CA.
