Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in ways that foster good relationships with co-workers and supervisors, while achieving performance standards.This position is located in East Los Angeles, CA. Local Southern California candidates only.
Maintenance Mechanic BRequires skilled working knowledge of all maintenance crafts and trades, with expertise in at least one. Experience with PLC's, pneumatic and electric pumps, plumbing, welding, refrigeration and/or air conditioning, VFD programming. Must be able to operate a forklift. Food industry experience is a plus. Candidates must have current, valid driver license.The position maintains all buildings, structures and production equipment in top working order, contributing as part of a team. The position trains others in order to increase the overall knowledge base of the department. Trades with expertise in at least one. Experienced with PLCs, pneumatic and electric pumps, all kinds of plumbing; some welding, refrigeration and/or air conditioning, VFD programming. Will use forklift. Food industry experience is a plus.This position is located in Pacoima, CA
2nd shift SupervisorBackground in production, familiar with production lines and processing machinery.
Must possess basic supervision skills.
Knowledge of safety, sanitation, HACCP and GMP standards and procedures.
Good written and oral English communication skills, basic computer skills.
Able to speak and understand basic Spanish.
Proficient with math conversions using calculator, familiar with metric system, weights and measures.
The position is responsible for all work done on the second shift. Requires knowledge of basic supervision and the ability to solve problems and work unsupervised. The position is a “working” position and may require participation in various production, filling and sanitation tasks. Must follow and enforce GMP and safety guidelines and procedures throughout the shift. Responsible for contributing to the efficient, profitable operation of the plant. Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating so as to get along with clients, customers, co-workers and supervisors, while achieving performance standards. This position is located in East Los Angeles, CA. Local Southern California candidates only.
CompounderBackground in production, familiar with production lines and processing machinery.

This position works in conjunction with supervisor and/or manager to perform the activities of the department, including timely completion of product batches in accordance with GMP, HACCP and safety guidelines, working in cooperation with all other departments, promoting information exchange and teamwork within the department. The Compounder is responsible for the accuracy of batch formulation and compliance with company policy, GMP and HACCP guidelines and safety procedures. The Compounder must contribute to the efficient and profitable operation of the plant and maintain a positive work atmosphere, by behaving and communicating in ways that foster good relationships with co-workers and managers, while achieving performance standards.This position is located in Los Angeles, CA
Certification SpecialistThe ideal candidate will have a degree in Chemistry, Food Science, Nutrition, Biology; or related field and excellent English grammar and spelling. Two years of experience within the food industry with a preferred emphasis on food manufacturing. Proficient with MS Office Suite; experience creating spreadsheets, sound math aptitude and effective interpersonal skills. Very organized with the ability to take charge of and complete projects.Update and maintain the Kosher, Organic and Halal programs.
Secure and maintain applicable Kosher, Organic and Halal certifications.
Submit requested finished products to certifying agencies for Kosher, Organic and/or Halal certification. Maintain registers required by Kosher, Organic and Halal certifying agencies.
Responsible as the primary contact for agency audits and compliance questionnaires. Evaluate existing documentation for applicability, completeness and compliance. Communicate with all departments to obtain needed information/documentation. Compile and submit monthly TTB reporting for drawback. Submit new product formulas to TTB for Non-Beverage Status Must source materials and information as needed to complete projects.

EHS ManagerB.A. or B.S. degree in Business, Environmental Safety or related field, plus four years of experience in regulatory management in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent training and experience. Knowledge of MS Office software. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, subordinates, customers and clients; good verbal and written English skills.
Must report to any AFF facility according to company need, sometimes with same-day notice.
Must have a valid California Driver License, with a good driving record and automobile insurance limits that fulfill company requirements.
Responsible for the development and administration of programs and policies that result in company-wide compliance with regulatory agency requirements. The position promotes and acts to create and maintain a safe and healthy working environment. Must contribute to the efficient and profitable operation of San Fernando, Pacoima and Los Angeles plants and maintain a positive work atmosphere, behaving and communicating in ways that foster good relationships with employees, co-workers and managers, while achieving performance standards.This position reports to two locations. Los Angeles and Pacoima CA.

Production ManagerTwo years experience working with purchasing and production control scheduling.
Strong math skills; computer proficiency. High school education and some college.
Good communication skills and good verbal and written English.
The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the production process and ensuring that deadlines and efficiencies are met and work is accomplished in compliance with GMP and safety practices. The position must monitor and analyze processes to drive improvements and must work in cooperation with all other departments, promoting information exchange and teamwork. Must contribute to the efficient and profitable operation of the plant and maintain a positive work atmosphere, by behaving and communicating in ways that foster good relationships with employees, co-workers and managers, while achieving performance standards.This position is located in Los Angeles, CA.
