General Description of Duties

The Inventory Control Manager will establish and lead the inventory function in a fast-paced flavor manufacturing environment. This role will play a critical part in designing and implementing inventory control processes to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with weight-based inventory standards (kilograms, pounds, and units). The Inventory Control Manager will be a hands-on leader with a strong background in inventory management, team development, and cross-functional collaboration. This individual must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in ways that foster good relationships with those inside and outside the company, while achieving and enhancing performance standards.
Essential Job Functions
- Build and lead the inventory control function, including hiring, training, and mentoring a high-performing team.
- Design and implement scalable inventory control processes and SOPs tailored to a weight-based (KG/LBS) manufacturing environment.
- Collaborate with purchasing, planning, production, warehousing, quality, and finance to ensure accurate inventory tracking and timely replenishment.
- Oversee and continuously improve cycle counting programs, physical inventory processes, and reconciliation procedures.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, consumption errors, and variances in raw materials and finished goods.
- Ensure timely and accurate inventory adjustments in ERP systems with proper documentation and approvals.
- Develop and analyze inventory trends / metrics to identify root causes of inaccuracies and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support month-end and year-end inventory close processes, including reporting and audit preparation.
- Lead training efforts across departments to ensure proper inventory handling, transaction accuracy, and system usage.
- Champion a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement within the inventory team and across the organization.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
- Minimum 3 years of inventory management experience in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably in food, flavor, or chemical manufacturing.
- CPIM certification (preferred) or willingness to obtain within the first year.
- Strong understanding of weight-based inventory systems and ERP platforms (SAP preferred).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools; able to generate clear, actionable reports.
- Demonstrated ability to build and lead teams, develop processes, and drive change in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to operational excellence.
- Must report to any company facility according to company need, sometimes with same-day notice.
