Purchasing Assistant

Purchasing Assistant to provide critical support to our Purchasing Department
by coordinating vendor communications, tracking purchase orders, managing
documentation, and ensuring materials are delivered on time. In this fast-paced
role, you'll work closely with Purchasing, Production, Inventory, Shipping
& Receiving, Regulatory, and Quality teams to help maintain efficient
operations and exceptional service standards. If you thrive in a collaborative

General Description of Duties
This position assists the Director of Purchasing, Purchasing Supervisor and Buyers with clerical support. Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in ways that foster good relationships with those inside and outside the company, while achieving and enhancing performance standards.
Essential Job Functions
- Review purchase orders past delivery dates; report and follow up with vendors with orders that are past due.
- Communicate with Production/Inventory when orders are back ordered or delayed.
- Communicate with Shipping and Receiving on deliveries, and status of receipts.
- Create and issue debit memos, obtain RMA’s, and communicate with vendors when material is to be returned.
- Create and send Complaints to vendors when issues arise.
- Place and file Purchase Orders, as requested.
- Request COAs and Packing Slips.
- Request samples for QC and R&D.
- Set up new vendors in FABS.
- Communicate with Regulatory on document status and approval.
- Must have regular punctual attendance.
- Be able to lift between 5-25 LBS of boxes of paperwork in Purchasing Department.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
