PRICING:

  • Establish selling prices on newly developed products using the unit pricing module of the FABS (Food and Beverage System) based on input from the R&D and Sales departments.
  • Periodically review and proactively update of all products pricing prior to expiration date. The review should be conducted whereby all products are reviewed a minimum of one time per year, or as needed, depending upon market conditions and trends.
  • Update the Sales Quote System regularly based on demand from new customer purchase orders and from the Sales Team quotes and complete the updates within 24 hours.
  • Assist in the establishment and maintenance of proper volume discount programs/systems.

COSTING:

  • Working with the Purchasing and R&D Teams, stay up-to-date on market and seasonal conditions (supply/demand) of various commodity products/ingredients and anticipate trends to adjust pricing accordingly at the right time.
  • Update and maintain the unit-costing module of FABS by reviewing the daily AFF purchasing and external market data.
  • Collect and analyze the material costs of the purchased raw materials and production process costs.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of a Standard Material and Labor Costing System.
  • Analyze and report on the sales volumes (in lbs.), gross margin calculations, and profitability trends.
  • Assist in the monthly accounting close relating to COGS and inventory valuations & reserves.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Managerial Accounting Degree preferred)
  • Strong skills with MRP systems and Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint
  • Experience in working with and managing large databases.
  • Proficient in accounting, statistics, charting, and trend analyses
  • 3 years of general and/or cost accounting experience (standard costing environment preferred)

  • Boiler check at the beginning of the shift.

  • Start up or shutdown of the boiler as needed and scheduled.
  • Participate in annual boiler inspections.
  • Maintain the plant steam system with repairs or replacement of steam traps, valves, filters and other components.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have a skilled working knowledge of all maintenance crafts and trades with a high degree of skill and knowledge in the performance of at least one craft or trade.
  • Must be physically able to perform vigorous, strenuous work, with lifting up to 50 pounds frequently throughout the day.

QA Manager

QA Manager Position – Pacoima, CA

 

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
The Quality Assurance Manager manages the Quality Control Department at all facilities. The position is ultimately responsible for all product quality and for the development, implementation, and administration of the documentation system necessary to maintain a controlled manufacturing process. The Manager organizes and staffs company’s Quality Control Departments, conducting employee performance evaluations and assigning projects to the QC staff.  The Manager must ensure that QC and all applicable staff are trained on Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs) and provided with sufficient resources to do their jobs.  The Manager stays current with quality management technique and analytical technology, applying this knowledge to the cost-effective operation of the department.  Must apply CAPA principles to troubleshooting issues, and be responsible for all 3rd party audit programs and activities, including but not limited to scheduling, preparing for and taking the lead in audits and any related certification process as well as government agency inspections.
